Little girl saves baby sister from fire
Saranchimeg said she noticed smoke coming out of the TV plug. She left the ger with her sister immediately, before the fire destroyed everything in it. The eldest of Buyanbat’s three daughters is 10 years old and lives with her grandmother in the soum center.
A donation account No.5599050009 has been opened in Khan Bank after the tale of the girl’s courage and presence of mind was published in newspapers.

Best Mongolian-run business in USA honored
The Mongolian-American Chamber of Commerce has recently selected Piramid Granite as the best Mongolian-run company in the USA in 2009. This is the third year the award has been announced.
Some 50 companies were nominated, and 22 of them were put on a shortlist. Finally B. Delgertsogt’s Pyramid Granite was chosen. Among the criteria for the choice were how many Mongolians are employed in a company and social commitment.

Forum to take place
Residing in U.S, entrepreneur Mongolians are expected to hold their third forum at the Embassy of Mongolia on August 29.
The forum will be organized by the Embassy of Mongolia in U.S together with the Mongolians Chamber of Commerce (MCC) in America.
A compact training devoted to entrepreneurs will be conducted at the forum.
The MCC afford opportunities to entrepreneurs, scientist researchers and students to be discussed their pre-arranged speeches about finance, business relation, marketing, strategy, theory and practice of organization’s structure, intelligence on making business decisions and others.

Mongolia elected as a member of UN Commission
At an Organizational Meeting of the UN Economic and Social Council (UNESC) held on May 18, 2009 in New York,an election of members of branch organizations at the UNESC ran. Then, Mongolia was elected as a member of the “Commission on the Status of Women” (CSW) and “Sustainable Development Commission” (SDC), respectively.
Since becoming a member of the UN, our country was elected into “CSW” in 1999-2003, and into the “SDC” in 2001-2004.
The CSW, a branch organization of the UNESC, has 45 members and the SDC - 53 members.
